The Mackey-Thompson Learning Center
The Mackey-Thompson Learning Center (MTLC) was converted from a previously existing school campus: Richmond County Intermediate School. Richmond County Public Schools owns and operates the campus for multiple uses. The school board has appointed a director to supervise and manage the campus which is comprised of a pre-Kindergarten building with four classrooms as well as an academic wing that contains two classrooms, a virtual learning computer lab, and a gymnasium. The school district’s transportation department is also housed on this campus. The YMCA after-school and summer programs operate from the academic wing.
